Launched in February 2009, Arabian Taxi Company (ATC) is the first full-service taxi company established in the Kingdom, operating 24/7.

It is a joint initiative between the shareholders – orphans and widows from the taxi profession – together with the Economic Development Board (EDB) and Bahrain Development Bank (BDB). And it was established with the aim of generating a stable income for the shareholders and at the same time modernising and developing the public transport and tourism sectors.

With a range of vehicles available – both four- and seven-seater taxies – ATC has more than 200 vehicles on road. And, making use of various navigation systems, including Hale, the ATaxi App and Careem, it prides itself in offering a service that is quick, convenient and reliable. Good value for money is guaranteed through the use of the government metered tariff.

The company has a call centre operation 24 hours a day and there is also an office at Bahrain International Airport with VIP airport collection being a particular speciality.
